Thank you for the answer and thank you for your great article by the way. In my point of view, everything is a tradeoff. I too think splitting engineering from exploration/modeling makes sens from the point of view of the company. And especially when you have a big team. But from a personal point of view I think it is far less enriching. I like to own the full scope. The wider my scope, the happier I am because it gives me more learning opportunities.
